We are looking for a well-organised, reliable and self-motivated person to support the operations and statutory responsibilities of the Environment Group. The suitable person will work predominantly with the Flood & Coastal Risk Management and Historic Environment teams and will also support a number of partnered groups, such as the Exe Estuary Partnership.
You will assist with administering the statutory consultee role for surface water management and Land Drainage Consents.
An understanding of the planning process as well as experience using databases and GIS software would be useful. You will also be expected to maintain website pages, coordinate team correspondence and also assist with data collection, incident response and monitoring during a flood event and assisting with the preparation of post-event flood investigation reports.
An interest in the Historic Environment will also be of benefit to support that team in providing and maintaining detailed historic information.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
