CIWEM is a professional membership organisation, developing careers and competencies for environmental professionals, working towards a safer, more sustainable world. Our mission is to build a global community of water and environmental professionals dedicated to working for the public benefit.
Last year, CIWEM declared a climate and biodiversity emergency, pledging to help its 10,000 members to tackle climate change and to make our world more sustainable. We produce a diverse programme of events, professional training, publications, awards and environmental policy work to support that mission.
We need an experienced, talented content writer and subeditor to introduce a digital-first strategy at CIWEM, creating and managing content on ciwem.org, to make it the go-to website for water and environmental management. The digital content editor we’re looking for will demonstrate:
The right candidate will help to lead CIWEM’s digital storytelling and news content, to promote CIWEM to its target audiences and monitor the analytics to shape future website content. Day to day, you will:

This is a new position within CIWEM’s external affairs team; we are hoping the right candidate will start as soon as possible.
The position is a full-time role and normal working hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm from Monday to Friday (inclusive). You may need occasional flexibility to meet the needs of the of the organisation outside core working hours, to accommodate events, breaking news or travel .
