Salary Range: £27,741 pa progressing to £30,451 pa
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Full Time Permanent

Job Duties:
As a Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) Officer you will contribute to reducing flood risk within Hertfordshire and the County Council meeting its responsibilities under the Flood and Water Management Act 2010.


As part of the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA), you will provide advice to the Local Planning Authorities as part of the LLFA’s role as statutory consultee on surface water drainage.  You will also undertake the LLFA’s regulatory role on Ordinary watercourses; consenting structures and undertaking enforcement on unconsented works.


The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline.  You will ideally have gained post qualifying experience in flood risk and drainage asset management and possess knowledge and experience of surface water drainage development and implementation.  You will have an understanding of local government and the current issues they face. 


As part of the interview process you will be asked to review information and give a presentation to the interview panel.
