Fingal County Council serves an area of 452.sq km north of Dublin City, which spans rural, urban and suburban communities, and is home to several key elements of national and regional infrastructure, including Dublin Airport and the National Sports Campus.
Fingal has a thriving population of 296,214 which, according to the 2016 Census figures, is an increase of 8.1% since the last count. We also have the lowest average age in Ireland and also one of the most ethnically and culturally diverse counties.
The Council is responsible for the social, economic, infrastructural and cultural development of the county of Fingal. We provide a wide range of services to our citizens including community and leisure facilities, housing, planning, environmental services, maintenance, water, transportation routes, and business support to name a few.
